I fear I have been absent from photography and Flickr for quite some time. I have been rather ill over the past few weeks, nasty side effects from the newest in a long line of chemotherapies. With this one I have finally met my match, becoming very ill and ending up in hospital. It's even made my hair fall out and that's very rare with this kind of chemo.

Anyway, I have no idea how long I will last from this so decided to sort out my affairs while I can, well in advance, hopefully, of needing them sorted. So I went with my husband to see a funeral director and from there to pick where I would like to be buried. And the above is a shot of Olney Green Burial Ground. It's eco-friendly, they plant trees, so I will be helping the planet. And, they have benches, lots of benches. So my place will have a bench which I invite you all to come and stand on some time in th future. And there are nice fences, although the one in this shot is distant.

This bench belongs to a lady who loved to shop. I hope, wherever she is now, she can have all the shoes and pretty dresses she ever dreamed of.

McDonald's special: husband burgers.

James is a good sport and is doing pretty much anything at the mo to cheer me up.

This morning I went for a routine ultrasound which confirmed my suspicions that my cancer has not only come back but looks like it's spreading. He knows how to show a girl a good time and took me to McDonald's for breakfast, and me a vegan, too! Northing worse than sitting in a fast food place with food you don't eat bawling like a baby. Good on James for sticking two fingers up to the staff and lying down on the table for me.

Last day of this half-term and it's mufti day at school for my boy. We tend to call it dress-down day, preparing him early for the slackerdom of work!

Sorry it's a rubbishy shot, am feeling really poorly at the moment.

My boy asked his best friend home for tea and a play date and this is them being obliging (the only cooperation I had all afternoon) and standing on a bench on the playground. Believe it or not, there's only six weeks difference between the toy boys' birthday. Mine is the shorty, and he is actually tall for his age. His bff is a giant, but the sweetest natured kid you could ever meet.
